We look forward to welcoming you to the 62nd Maidenhead Easter Ten on Good Friday April 3rd 2015. Here is the information that will help you prepare for your participation and enjoyment of this year’s Easter Ten. We thank you for your support for our annual road race.
IMPORTANT - RUNNER PACK (RACE NUMBERS AND CHIP TIMER) COLLECTION
Race numbers and timing chips for the Maidenhead Easter Ten 2015 on Good Friday April 3rd must be collected from the Entries marquee in the race village near to the Start/Finish area for the race on race day morning. Race information packs will not be posted in advance.
Plan your travel to allow time to collect your runner pack from the race village on race morning as we shall start the race promptly at 09:30AM.

Race Venue & Directions
Maidenhead Office Park

For online or SatNav directions use either “Westacott Way” or the postcode SL6 3RT.
There is ample car parking space at the Race HQ at Maidenhead Office Park. Please follow the directions given by the car parking marshals. Once parked, make your way to the Race Village to collect your runner pack which contains your running number and timing chip. All the usual race facilities are here and it is near to the Start and Finish areas.
No parking is permitted on either Westacott Way or the perimeter road of Maidenhead Office Park.
Your runner pack, which will include your running number and timing chip, can be collected from the Entries marquee at the race village. The race village is on the tennis courts on the west side of the business park and is a short walk from the parking area.
Please pin your number to the front of your running vest or T-Shirt. It may not be transferred under any circumstances. Please ensure that you add any medical information on the reverse side of your number. This is now a requirement.
Your race pack will include an envelope containing a chip timer and a velcro strap. Please follow the instructions on how to fix the chip and strap above your ankle.
At the end of the race please remove the chip and either give it to one of the race officials or place in the ChampionChip bins provided.
If for any reason you decide not to do the race, please return the unused chip in the Freepost envelope.
Changing & Toilets
There are no formal changing areas and we encourage all runners to arrive prepared for their run. The marquee area in the Race Village provides informal space for sheltering from bad weather.
There are toilet facilities near to the Race Village. These are conveniently sited close to the start & finish and the 1 & 3 mile points on the course.
There is an unsupervised baggage area in the marquees inside the Race Village. Please note that we cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to any personal items.
The race will commence from Maidenhead Office Park at precisely 09:30AM. Westacott Way will be closed from 09:20AM and no traffic other than emergency vehicles will be permitted to use the road before 12:00 Noon.
The course is 10 miles fairly flat, fast and rural. The surface includes public roads (closed to traffic), cycleway paths and pavement in sections of the route where road closures are not possible.
These will be at the 1, 2, 3, 6 and 9 mile points. We encourage you to stay hydrated throughout the race and make use of the drinks stations.
If you feel unable to complete the course, please wait with a marshal. You will either be collected by one of the emergency ambulances onsite or a course marshal will arrange transport to return you to the race HQ at Maidenhead Office Park.
The race referee’s decision is final and binding throughout the race. Runners must keep to the left at all times unless instructed by a marshal. Any runners ignoring or failing to comply with marshal instructions and endangering other runners will face disqualification from the race.
RACE OFFICIALS RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REQUIRE RUNNERS NOT PAST THE 6 MILE MARK IN 1 HOUR AND 15 MINUTES TO COMPLETE THE COURSE WITH THE AID OF A MAP PROVIDED BY THE COURSE MARSHALS.
Provisional results will be displayed in the Race Village as soon as they become available. Full results will be available on the Maidenhead AC website (www.maidenheadac.co.uk).
All competitors who complete the race will receive a souvenir medal. There are individual trophies and prizes for the overall race winners for the men’s (1st to 5th places) and women’s races (1st to 3rd places). There are also trophies for fastest veterans in the following age categories:
There is also a team award for the best men’s and women’s teams which will be based on the total points score by race position of the first three eligible runners in each team.
The prizes and awards ceremony will take place at approximately 12 Noon in the Race Village area.
There will be one prize for each individual winning category and one prize per winning team. However, if for example a veteran runner finishes in the top five for men or top three for the ladies, they will receive whichever prize is of the highest value.
The Maidenhead Easter Ten is once again incorporating the Berkshire Road Running 10 Mile Championship. For more information on all county events, please visit the Berkshire County Athletic Association website at www.berkshireathletics.org.uk.
Hot and cold snacks are available from the catering marquee in the race village.
The race village will also have the following providers of runner services and race souvenirs:
- Apex Sports: Apex will have their mobile retail unit at the race for the purchase of any essential runner equipment and accessories on the day
- Sports Massage: Flying Physios will be providing pre- and post-race sports massage. You can pre-book your sports massage by emailing Jason@theflyingphysios.com or call him on 0800 612 7814 at a cost of £8. The cost on the day will be £10 for a 15-minute sports massage.
- Souvenir T-shirts: Sporting Print will be selling souvenir Maidenhead Easter Ten race T-shirts and tops with runner names printed on the reverse.
ProSport photos will be on the course aiming to capture each competitor. Soon after the race the runner photos will be available on their website for ordering: www.prosportphotos.com. You will be able to search for your photo using your race number.
There is a race enquiries desk in the marquees in the race village.
Any emergency updates will be posted to this website. Please check this website the evening prior to the race for any important updates.
How to Enter
The closing date for postal entries is Saturday March 28th and for online entries via Runners' World the closing date is Tuesday March 31st. Please note that there are no entries on race day.
The race entry for 2015 is £18 (UK Athletics Affiliated runners) and £20(non-affiliated runners). You can enter either online or by post as follows:
